Hi.

Second day of rocketry today. We learnt how to make a rocket with a parachute system today. It all began in the morning when the instructors were telling us how to make such a rocket, before we began adding the system onto the rocket we had made yesterday.

Then the time to test our 'masterpiece' came. We gathered at the side field and went to the launchpad. On the first two attempts, our rocket(jian ting and me) remained intact when it's supposed to split into two pieces with the parachute on one piece. We were disappointed, especially jian ting, who got really fustrated and downed at least two cans of soft drink. That was when we decided to give our 'last shot'. We stepped onto the launchpad once again. This time, the rocket flew high up and began to descend. But just before it touches the ground, the thing split and the parachute opened up beautifully. We were elated and decided to try the fourth time, which was also successful.

Alright, that's about it for the sabbacticals today. I admit that so far i did not regret joining this course, it's so FUN! Okay, write again tomorrow after the third day of rocketry. Who knows what will happen until then...
